UNC-CH has a site license for ESRI products. Through this site license, UNC-CH affiliates (faculty, staff, and students) have free access to Online GIS Training from ESRI's Virtual Campus.

Patrons not affiliated with the university may also find ESRI's Virtual Campus to be a helpful resource, as the first module of many courses are free.
Instructor-Led Training

The University Library and the Odum Institute have collaborated to bring the UNC campus a series of short courses pertaining to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis. These courses are offered in the fall and spring semesters.
The Fall 2009 Short Course Series is over.

The University also offers regular courses that incorporate GIS. These courses are available in several departments. Speak with your advisor if you are interested.

Software Documentation is available from ESRI's Support Website. Obtain an ESRI global account for free, and gain access to the most current software documentation.
